for the last couple years i've been regularly visiting a website dedicated to acknowledging good book cover design. i don't know how i found this, but boy am i glad i did. i've long been amused and enamored with book covers. which at one time was very ironic because i could give two hoots about the contents of the book. the only thing that mattered was the cover. really, who needs words and stories anyway? i feel differently now than i once did, and enjoy reading here and there, and often have a book lurking somewhere in the depths of my purse, but covers will never cease to hog the stage, in my opinion. that is, as long as they're good. hence, i work at a book publisher, to ensure that the books in this world not only have good words (haha... have good words) but also have GREAT design! both inside and out! books excite me! i love books! again, mostly to look at. but that is why i am so thankful for sites like this, that praise noteworthy design. please feel free to navigate over that way sometime - like now - and take in the design. please. i beg of you. enjoy.
