introducing for the first time...

the last i talked to my mother, she was waiting to hear whether or not she was approved to adopt annie the black, long-haired daschund, or spice, the black and white poodle/shih tzu mix. then today, out of the blue, i get a text message from my mom saying that the adoption agency had brought a doggy over to visit and that they had liked him so much they'd kept him, on a trial basis. i called her right away and said, "mother. this is not something you text about, this is something that deserves a phone call! don't you think?" she laughed it off as if i wasn't serious... but we talked about the new puppy, spencer, who is a five year old bichon frise.

apparently he's a little lover boy and just wants to sit on the sofa with them all the time. i asked my dad what he thought of the dog, whether he was excited or tolerating the situation. he said he was both, but that bichons were his first choice of small dogs, and that if spencer was in a "cutest dog" competition, he could probably make the top three, and maybe even win. thats saying a lot coming from my dad, but i'll let you guys be the judge.
spencer is currently staying with my parents on a trial basis, but they're hoping he'll be there forever. they introduced him to chloe to see how the two would interact. spencer was interested in chloe, but she of course, was very upset and hissed and threw a fit. we might need to work on that. luckily she won't have to live with him forever. that is... assuming i can find a nice place for her and i to live out here.

so thats spencer for you. the new (maybe) addition to my parents new live's in their new house in a new city.
