two dates in one week!

and by two dates in one week... i mean... one with kelly, and one with audrey.

kelly and i made yummy dinner together on thursday at her apartment downtown. we made pork paprikash, a recipe i had gotten from my other kelly. it was delicious. kelly supplied us with a bottle of wine to go with dinner, along with my favorite dessert—tiramisu. it was one of the best valentine's i've ever had.

last night audrey was babysitting, but the girls were in bed by 8 or 9, so i headed over, cold stone ice cream in hand. we also rented good luck chuck from one of those red box movie rentals outside the grocery store. it wasn't our first choice of movies, but there were slim pickins, and despite audrey's friends warning that it was crude and offensive, we decided to go with it anyway. i mean, how offensive could it be, right? and neither audrey nor i consider ourselves to be super sensitive. but it was bad. i mean, besides it being somewhat hilarious, and the art brut song on the soundtrack, it was pretty much just ridiculously crude and raunchy. i mean, dane cook gave a surprisingly good performance... but maybe he should just keep his humor on the stand-up circuit. romantic comedies are supposed to be cute, not raunchy.
