early christmas

i got home today after an interview and audrey was here with the girls she nannies. they were eating lunch, and then afterward, we put up our christmas tree, a few little christmas decorations, and watched ELF! audrey was also asking me if it'd be ok to have the girls and their parents over on christmas eve for their annual gift exchange, to which i said yes of course. she asked if i could show her how to make them coffee and i said, well, i could, but my french press is broken, remember audrey? so we went on to talk about other coffee pots that i own that are at my parents house. all of a sudden she blurts out, "i think you should open your christmas present now." the wheels began to turn... i had a pretty good idea what might be in the box she then handed me. annnnnnnnd i was right. a new french press! say hello to my new bodum french press, complete with a 4 minute timer, for perfectly brewed coffee, every time.
