i got a call back from that book publisher i spoke of the other day. i'm going back in for a second interview on thursday! hip hip, hooray! hip hip, hooray!

i got summoned for jury duty! in philadelphia! for the third time! tell me, what other person my age do you know who has been summoned for jury duty three times, twice being in a six month period? this is not very diserving of a hip hip, hooray. no, it deserves a boo! boo! go away! luckily, i think i can get out of it, since i was summoned in philly, and i now live in chicago. "Dear U.S. Clerk, it would be an undue hardship and extreme inconvenience for me to report for jury duty in Philadelphia on the alloted dated..."
but lets please not end on that note... how bout another hip hip, hooray to end the day? ok, ready? ITS SNOWING! hip hip, hooray!

I'll tell you who else has been summoned for jury duty twice (not as bad as three times) in the last six months: me! Why oh why do they insist on asking a college kid with a very demanding major to come home for jury duty all the time? I always get really scared that I'm going to forget to send a letter explaining why I can't go and end up in jail or something.
