i am sick

i start my new job on wednesday, and wouldn't you know... i managed to get sick. i woke up yesterday with a bit of scratchiness in my throat, and feeling slightly congested. and today, i wake up with a sore throat, congested, and some of that lovely post-nasal drip. mmmmmmm love it. all i want to do it sit around and do nothing, or sleep. but is that an option? nope. we have friends in town and i want to see them and they want to see me, so i must forego my lazy sleepy day and get myself looking alive so i can go to dinner with them. also, since my roommate and i are hosting a party tomorrow night, i must go to the store, and buy some things in preparation. then we have to get the apartment ready, and prepare all the food, etc, and then host a party. i can feel the exhaustion already. also somewhere in there i was hoping to do a little shopping for some work clothes, since i have none, and i start on wednesday. i guess that won't be happening.

uggh, sickness, you come at a horribly bad time.
